Yaya is a Thai technical artist with a specialization in virtual and XR content development. Yaya has completed a Master's degree in Interactive Media and Games program from the USC's School of Cinematic Arts where she was awarded the International Artist Fellowship throughout the entire program. She has a passion for marrying innovative technologies and art to create compelling experiences that elicit empathy and improve people's mental/physical wellbeing.
She worked Sony Innovation Lab within Sony Pictures Entertainment as a content developer. Here she coordinated between Sony executive producer, Ghost Corps producers, and hardware development team in Tokyo to game design and engineer a 3-level projection mapping game for the Ghostbusters IP with object and gesture recognition features. She joined Technicolor - MPC ’s virtual production team as a Unity FX TD on a show where she designed and previsualized the VFX and shader using Unity timeline and particle system.
She currently works at an AR startup company called Octi as a technical artist and manager, helping to build a performant AR product ecosystem and augmented reality environments. She is in charge of rapid-prototyping, VFX/3D Scans integration, as well as building Python tools in Maya to improve artist workflow.
